I have been real bad about blogging this winter, but now that all my albums are complete and all my winter work is ready for prime time I thought it was best I start focusing on my blog before wedding season starts this weekend!! With that said, this is Kristen & Nick's wedding from last June at Lourdes Camp.
I just finished Katie and Luke's wedding album and decided to pull some her favorites and mine and create a nice little blog post. I know that I am out of order, but it was nice to be back in October again. Even if only through photographs.
Katie and Luke were married this past October here in Skaneateles at the First Presbyterian Church with the reception following afterwards at the Skaneateles Country Club. Two of my favorite venues to photograph in. It was a gorgeous October day and my friend James Bass came out to keep me company and start with Luke and his crew. Thank you James. It was a riot to have you around.
Most of all, thank you Katie and Luke for letting me capture your beautiful wedding.
I'm little out of order in my wedding posts being that Susan and Adam were married on a stunning September day at the Esperanza Mansion. I decided to blog theirs since I was pulling the images for their album and was warmed by the imagery during these winter days. So, here goes! It was a great time with great people and everyone had a fun time.
Thank you Susan and Adam for letting me capture your day!
Enjoy peeking at some of my favorites....there were so many, but I can only do a few!
Once again, I would like to thank all my couples from the 2009 season!
My season began on a sunny March day with Beth & Brian and ended on a cold winter's night in December with Meghan & Andy.
Whether it was putting an entire wedding party in and around a vintage VW Bus at Hobbit Hollow or having a bride catch a football and stand like the Heisman Trophy at Fall Brook in Oswego, I cannot thank you enough for letting me be who I am behind the camera, and capturing who you are. Thank you for all the countless spur of the moment craziness and letting me get away with "are you game/seat of your pants" ideas! I really enjoyed being a part of your wedding day and capturing every moment for you to keep and cherish for the rest of your lives. I smile as I look back at the photographs and realize how incredibly fortunate I am that all of you came into my life. It is because of you and all my other fabulous clients that I always look forward to a new day behind the lens. I love what I do and you make it happen.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
These photos are the covers of the proofbooks.
Last month Rachel and Alex were married in a cute little ceremony on the lawn of the Sherwood Inn with the reception immediately following inside. I started with the guys in the morning as they got ready to play 9 holes of golf before the wedding. I later met Rachel and her girls at the Sherwood Inn as they got ready. What a great wedding and thankfully those big dark clouds held off and everything was great!
Thank you Rachel and Alex. It was truly a wonderful time!
Round two of Memorial Day weekend was Lindsay & Matthew's wedding on Saturday at Le Moyne College with the reception following at The Lodge at Welch Allyn. Starting with guys at the The Sherwood Inn for a few shots, I then went on to meet the girls at the Finger Lakes Lodging where they all were getting ready. The ceremony was in the coolest chapel where the alter was in the middle and everyone circled the couple. It really was a neat thing. The other great surprise was Lindsay and Matthew's golden retriever Mia was the "flower girl" with her own little bouquet. It was a riot! After the ceremony and photos by Skaneateles Lake we all went to reception where everyone was blown away by the absolutely fabulous band from Rochester called Brass Taxi. These guys just rocked the house and had everyone on the floor. The other little surprise was that Lindsay's parents could not find just the right song for the father/daughter dance so they actually wrote one especially for her! Lindsay's mom sang and recorded it so the band could then play the tape at the reception when it was time for the dance. Everyone was in tears and led to some incredibly moving moments. You'll have to wait for the gallery to go up to see those. It was beyond moving...
What a fun wedding and I was so glad to be there to capture it! Thank you Lindsay and Matthew! Here are a few "peek a boos"!
