Lauren and Michael tied the knot in front of family and friends on April 17th at The Lodge here in Skaneateles. Once again, I had a great time with a very playful bride and groom, props and all. Thank you to Backyard Garden for a beautiful bouquet to photograph, and most of all The Patisserie for the coolest cake I have ever seen. Lauren and Michael have two dogs that they left behind in Michigan with a friend but made their presence as the cake topper. It was sweet!
Here's a quick peek at a few from a fun wedding!
Thank you Lauren & Michael.
What a riot.
Finally, the last wedding post of the 2009 season!
Kelli and Mike were married on October 17th at St. Mary's of the Lake with the reception following at The Lodge. It was a beautiful fall day and we lucked out with the light even though it was a little chilly at times. I met the guys first at the Packwood House for a few photos and then headed to Hobbit Hollow where the Kelli and her girls were to grab photos of her getting ready before the wedding. Then it was off to the ceremony and reception!
Thank you Kelli and Mike. It was a beautiful day and wedding!
Finally catching up with my blog posts!
Suzanne and Ted were married on November 7th at The Lodge here in Skaneateles. A first ever for me was photographing the rehearsal one hour before the actual ceremony! The wedding was beautiful, the toasts touching and the party raged until the wee hours of the night with the great sounds of Brass Taxi.
So, Suzanne and Ted, thank you for a really nice evening and I am so happy you love your photos!
Susie and Joe were married August 29th in Fayetteville, NY with the reception following at The Lodge in Skaneateles. Let me just say something that I have noticed the past few years. Everytime I photograph a wedding where the couple is from Fayetteville-Manlius, I know I am in for a wild ride and Susie and Joe's was no exception! What a great couple, great wedding party and great families. Even the guest who sang Margaritaville from Jimmy Buffett and whose shoe hit my head as he "kicked off his flip flops" was great! Thank you Susie & Joe. I really, really had a great time and can't wait to edit the rest of your wedding. In the meantime, here are a few I quickly pulled out of the lot! Also, there is no way any of you belong in right field! Still laughing at all the toasts!
Round two of Memorial Day weekend was Lindsay & Matthew's wedding on Saturday at Le Moyne College with the reception following at The Lodge at Welch Allyn. Starting with guys at the The Sherwood Inn for a few shots, I then went on to meet the girls at the Finger Lakes Lodging where they all were getting ready. The ceremony was in the coolest chapel where the alter was in the middle and everyone circled the couple. It really was a neat thing. The other great surprise was Lindsay and Matthew's golden retriever Mia was the "flower girl" with her own little bouquet. It was a riot! After the ceremony and photos by Skaneateles Lake we all went to reception where everyone was blown away by the absolutely fabulous band from Rochester called Brass Taxi. These guys just rocked the house and had everyone on the floor. The other little surprise was that Lindsay's parents could not find just the right song for the father/daughter dance so they actually wrote one especially for her! Lindsay's mom sang and recorded it so the band could then play the tape at the reception when it was time for the dance. Everyone was in tears and led to some incredibly moving moments. You'll have to wait for the gallery to go up to see those. It was beyond moving...
What a fun wedding and I was so glad to be there to capture it! Thank you Lindsay and Matthew! Here are a few "peek a boos"!
Wow. Memorial Day weekend was a very busy and fun weekend with great weddings! Jenn and Dan were married Friday the 22nd of May here in Skaneateles with their reception at The Lodge. We started the day at Bijou Salon where Kim and her crew did their magic and then we were off to Mirbeau Inn & Spa for the rest of getting ready. The day was packed with lots of fun and laughs. Thank you Jenn and Dan for letting me capture your beautiful day and getting to know you and your families. It was such a pleasure! You guys were a riot!
