Finally, I have a blog! I have so many things to share with you, but first I need to thank a few people who are very important to me. I would also like to point out right away that this will be the only post I ever do that is this long! First, I would like to thank all of my great couples from this past wedding season. I really enjoyed being a part of your wedding day and capturing every moment for you to keep and cherish for the rest of your lives. I smile as I look back at the photographs and realize how incredibly fortunate I am that all of you came into my life. It is because of you and all my other fabulous clients that I always look forward to a new day behind the lens. I love what I do and you make it happen. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Second, l would like to give a shout out to my awesome friend and fabulous photographer Andrea Casey. I met Andrea by coming across her website one day while looking for another photojournalistic style wedding photographer for a couple from California getting married on a date I was already booked. I forwarded her link to them saying that I didn’t know her, but that her site was beautiful and she seemed cool from what I saw and read on her blog. The next day I received a nice email from her thanking me for the referral and that she too was already booked but had sent them to other photographers that might be available. From that moment on we have become great friends and talk to each other pretty much on a daily basis. It is so nice to finally have someone to talk and bounce ideas off of, but most of all to learn things from. We share our ideas and thoughts and I really feel I have grown as a photographer since she has become my friend and colleague. She is always there for me and has been a big force behind getting this blog up and going. So, it is to Andrea I dedicate my blog. You’re the best Andrea!
Next is Eva Talley. Wow, where do I begin? Eva is the best graphic designer! I had been looking for someone to design a logo for me and Andrea gave me Eva’s name. After a couple of conversations with Eva, she designed exactly what I was looking for. It is sooo me. Needless to say, I had to have everything about my company match my new logo so Eva took everything I had and gave my company a look I absolutely love. It was exactly what I was looking for and more than I could have ever imagined. I am always in awe of what she has designed for me and always laugh when I add to the “shopping list” as Eva and I put it. Eva, thank you for all the beautiful things you have created for me and thank you for making me look so good!
Last and most important, I would like to thank my two beautiful children, Kinsey and Keefe. They have been so patient and tolerant of my crazy schedule and at times my moods in those crazy times. They were there when I started this venture in our little apartment with my work desk in the living room with the constant glow of the monitor late at night. They were little and never complained when mommy had to work late or when they had to go in their room and play quietly while I met with clients at the apartment. I remember always apologizing to them only to hear their little voices saying it was okay. I love you both more than you know. You are my world and I love that I can share all of this with you. Then there is Schyler, the man I love and cherish. He is always there for me, helping me, encouraging me, and telling me over and over again that everything will be okay when I think the sky is falling. I love you more than words can express. Life is grand!
